Born and raised in Melbourne Australia. Living and working in Melbourne.
Amz Kelso is a professional Digital Illustrator, Jewellery Maker and Studio Curator.
She studied at the Northern Metropolitan Institute of Tafe (NMIT) and completed her
Diploma of Illustration in 2010, equipped with strong skills in acrylics, photoshop and soft pastel.
She now works freelance and runs AMITTY STUDIOS with fellow illustrator
and best buddy Kitty Poduska. She shares a Studio Space with Taras Semenenko,
Illustrator and Fine Artist, in Brunswick.
Amz primarily works digitally, and draws inspiration from Illustrators such as
Jasper Wong, James Jean, Heisuke Kitazawa and the Hanuka twins (Tomer & Asaf Hanuka).
Her work is a mash of Japanese pop-culture and usually depicts babes pumped
with collagen, bright colours and sea critters.
She has worked on numerous branding campaigns for exhibitions, and created illustrations for
local musicians, businesses and promotions.
